Hello
Buffalo;
I would like to
thank all of you supporting me at the Main Event
Fundraiser that was held this past Friday (1/26/07)
at Marcella Showclu & Lounge. With all of your love
and support we raised approximately $500.00.
As a result of
your love and support, I went down to Cleveland,
Ohio and won the title of Miss Ohio Continental
Plus, on this past Sunday (1/28/07). I am now
officialy qualified to represent Buffalo and all of
Ohio at the Miss Continental Plus 2007 National
Contest during Easter Weekend in Chicago,
Illinois...

Brandon & Melody Michaels
With what is believed to be the largest crowd ever for any
pageant in Buffalo, Brandon and Miss Melody Michaels won the 2007 version of the
Mr. & Miss. Club Marcella pageant. The Talent section of this competition
was not to be believed, with all the contestants putting on some of the best
performance ever seen at the club. It was like the White Party and
Black Parties combined. The entire Chippewa bar zone was dead empty as the
dancing continued with Dj Lil Joe, after the pageant. The life's a
drag show performed with the addition of Brandon and Melody.
Miss Raquel performed her step down and one of her final
performances at Club Marcella. She will be having her final show later
this month - watch for the date but is believed to be either April 28 or
29 th.

was held November 12, 2006 @ the Harro East Ballroom in
Rochester, NY.

The Miss Gay Northeast Entertainer Pageant was held in
Rochester, NY at Muther's Bar. The Pageant was hosted by Miss
Universo Latina 2001 Marilyn Sulay. Many were in attendance from
Rochester, Syracuse, Buffalo, and New York City.

the Annual Mr. & Miss Gay Buffalo Paramount Pageant. It
was a night to remember.
The pageant was hosted by Symphony Barr, Amber Waves,
and Trisha O’ Alexander. Special performances included:

Congratulations to Syracuse native Darnell (winner of
Interview and Formal Wear) and the Brown Sugar of
Buffalo Keke Valasquez-Lord (winner of Interview,
Glamour White Walk On, and Talent) on capturing the
title of Mr. & Miss Gay Buffalo Paramount 2007.
First alternates were Cedric (of Baltimore Maryland),
and Fya Valentino.
Second alternates were Caesar Valasquez Lord and Nadiya
Diamond Lord.

UNDERGROUND NIGHTCLUB

On Friday
night the Mr & Miss Gay Western New York Newcomer pageant,
produced by Keke Valazquez-Lord
and William Hill, got underway at about 9:30pm.
The bar was packed with people from all walks of the
community and new faces as well. The support was definitely
there for the fourth year of this pageant. Valazquez-Lord &
Hill have done a wonderful job with this pageant trying to
help new performers blossom and become something more in the
city of Buffalo. It's an honorable and fair pageant. The
judges for last night were legendary performer and producer
of the Mr & Miss Gay Buffalo Paramount pageant,
Symphony Barr; a
former Miss Gay Western New York Newcomer and current
reigning Miss Gay Queen City,
Raquel; drag and pageant promoter from Rochester,
New York, Paul Reegord;
current reigning Mr Gay Buffalo,
Goldie St. James
and from Ohio, Miss Hot International 2005,
Devinity.
The contest
was broken up with performances by some of the most well
known faces in Buffalo and the surrounding area.
Showstopping numbers came from Keke Valazquez-Lord who
performed a "knock-out" performance of the 1970's Streisand
hit, Main Event;
Devinity, chaneling Beyonce, performed
Deja-vu with Goldie St.
James; Fanta-see Island
performing the Whitney Houston classic,
I Wanna Dance with Somebody; Sebastian Armonte's
version of Justin Timberlake's new single,
Sexyback; and Raquel's
performance of the new Nelly Furtado song,
Maneater. Other
performers included Rebecca
Finn, Miss Gay International Showgirl;
Vanity Vogue, Miss
Q; Chanel Shamour,
Miss Gay Buffalo and many more.
Alyssa Santiago
stepped down from the title to crown another new face in the
city and join the formers,
Frita Lay (2003) and Raquel (2004). This was the
first year the pageant had a Mister portion. The four
contestants competing for the title of Miss Gay Western New
York Newcomer did a marvelous job in the categories of White
Walk-on, Creative Self Expression, Evening Gown, On-stage
Question and Talent. The males competed in similar
categories, except for Creative Swimwear and Eveningwear.
The other categories were the same for the male
contestants. The contestants were, for the males,
Miguel &
Budwyzer. The
contestants were, for the females,
Lilith LeFeux,
Lady Mahagony,
Jenna Purr &
Fantasia Thunderpussy.
The results
for the males were as follows. Winning the categories of
Creative Swimwear, Onstage Question & The Raquel Talent
Award was Miguel. Budwyzer won the category of
Eveningwear. Miguel come out
victorious as the winner of the first ever Mr. Gay Western
New York Newcomer. The results for the females were as
follows. Winning the categories of Creative Self Expression
and The Raquel Talent Award was Jenna Purr. The Evening
Gown category was a tie between Jenna Purr and Fantasia
Thunderpussy. Winning the category of Onstage Question was
Fantasia Thunderpussy. In the end Jenna Purr was crowned
Miss Gay Western New York Newcomer 2006. Congratulations to
Jenna Purr & Miguel and a job well done and much success
during your reign!

Miss Canada World Plus 2006
On
Friday June 23, 2006 (Toronto's Gay Pride
Weeked) Buffalo's Brown Sugar, Keke Valaquez-Lord
captured the international title of Miss Canada
World Plus 2006 at the The Church at Berkely in
Toronto, Ontario Canada. Winning three
categories out of four (Best Swimsuit, Best
Talent, and Best Evening Gown) she was
crowned the first reigning queen of this
pageantry system.
Along with Mr. & Miss International and Miss
Canada World, Miss Canada World Plus is one of
the newest international pageants that has been
started by Larry Cannon aka Stephanie Stevens
for plus size female impersonators throughout

26, 2005, Keke Valaquez-Lord captured the title
at the Phoenix Concert Center in Toronto,
Ontario Canada. This is an official preliminary
to the Miss Continental Plus Pageant in which
she will be competing to represent Canada and
Buffalo in May of 2006.
